The MIPS "Multidirectional Impact Protection System" integrated into our helmets is the result of nearly 20 years of study and research. Its principle is simple: to imitate and play the role of the cerebrospinal fluid in which our brains "float". In the event of an impact, the MIPS system absorbs the energy of the impact by sliding the skull along the skullcap. This helps dissipate rotational forces, allowing the brain to slide underneath the skull and protect it from oblique impacts.
