Belkid L2 kid airbag vest - Equiline

The Belkid L2 Equiline children's airbag vest combines enhanced protection, optimal comfort and excellent freedom of movement to support young riders as they progress. Equipped with a Level 2 D3O back protector and a mechanically triggered airbag system, it provides additional safety for children weighing at least 17 kg. Developed in partnership with French airbag specialist Allshot, it stands out for its ergonomic Cordura stretch construction, breathability and inflation in less than 100 milliseconds.

Enhanced protection with the Belkid L2 Equiline children's airbag vest

The Belkid L2 Equiline children's airbag vest has been specially developed to meet the needs of young riders by combining two complementary protection technologies. Its Level 2 D3O back protector helps absorb impacts to the back, while its airbag system provides additional protection to essential areas of the upper body in the event of a fall. This dual protection allows children to ride with technical safety equipment suited to their body shape and the demands of their discipline.

The airbag system helps limit excessive hyperflexion and hyperextension movements while providing targeted protection for the back, chest and hips. It supports young riders throughout their riding lessons, training sessions and first competitions.

Thanks to its mechanical cable activation system, the airbag inflates in less than 100 milliseconds (0.1 seconds) when triggered. The system can be reused after deployment by simply replacing the appropriate CO₂ cartridge. The connecting strap must be attached to the airbag once the child is mounted on the horse, allowing activation if the rider becomes separated from the horse.

Important: the Belkid L2 airbag vest is designed exclusively for use with 50 cc CO₂ cartridges. It is essential to use a cartridge compatible with this model.

Comfort designed for young riders

Made from Cordura stretch, the Belkid L2 features a flexible, durable and stretchy material that naturally follows the child's movements. Its ergonomic construction allows the vest to remain comfortable throughout the riding session without creating excessive stiffness.

Its 3D mesh lining promotes airflow and improves the vest's breathability. It helps reduce heat build-up during physical activity, a particularly valuable advantage for children completing several exercises or taking part in competition days.

The open areas beneath the arms free up the shoulders and preserve excellent freedom of movement. Young riders can therefore follow their pony's or horse's movements, adjust their position and jump comfortably without being restricted by their protective equipment.

An airbag vest that is easy to wear every day

The Belkid L2 children's airbag vest has been designed to integrate easily into young riders' outfits. It is worn over riding clothing, making it practical and comfortable to use throughout the seasons.

Its front zip fastening makes the vest easy to put on and take off. Simple to handle, it allows children to quickly secure their equipment before each session, with adult assistance if necessary.

Thanks to its ergonomic fit and stretchy fabric, the Belkid L2 follows the child's movements without compromising comfort in the saddle. A design particularly suited to young riders who want to progress while benefiting from technical protection.

Two sizes designed for children weighing at least 17 kg

The Belkid L2 is intended for children weighing at least 17 kg, generally aged between 6 and 11 years. It is available in two sizes to accommodate different body shapes:

• Size T1: approximately 6 to 8 years old, for a height of 110 to 125 cm.
• Size T2: approximately 9 to 11 years old, for a height of 125 to 145 cm.

These age recommendations are provided as a guide only. To ensure a suitable fit, it is essential to consider the child's weight, height and body measurements. Refer to the size guide before selecting the appropriate model.

Technical design developed through the Equiline and Allshot partnership

This partnership combines Equiline's expertise in equestrian comfort and equipment with Allshot's technical knowledge of rider protection. Every detail has been designed to meet children's specific needs, with particular attention paid to safety, ergonomics and ease of use.
