Why is stirrups grip so important?

Reliable grip between your riding boot and stirrups is about far more than comfort—it's a key element of rider safety. A worn tread with smooth or flattened studs provides less traction, increasing the risk of your foot slipping, especially in wet conditions or during demanding activities such as jumping or cross-country riding. A tread with excellent grip keeps your foot stable, improves leg position and helps reduce muscle fatigue by distributing pressure more evenly throughout your ride. How to replace your stirrups treads

Remove the worn tread by gently pulling it out or using a flat-head screwdriver if necessary. Take the opportunity to clean the inside of your stirrup and remove any dirt or debris. Align the new tread correctly, then press it firmly into place until it is securely fitted and no longer moves, or fasten it with screws where applicable.
