Kids X'air safe airbag vest - Freejump

Discover the Freejump X’air safe children's airbag vest, an innovative protective solution specially designed to support young riders as they progress in the saddle. Combining the safety of a level 3 body protector with the responsiveness of an ultra-fast airbag, it provides enhanced protection without compromising comfort or freedom of movement. Thanks to its unique design, which combines a rigid airbag shell with an internal airbag, the X’air safe allows children to enjoy their passion with greater confidence, during both training and competition.

Minimum weight requirement: children's sizes are suitable for young riders weighing over 25 kg.

Double protection to support young riders

When a child is learning to ride or progressing towards more technical disciplines, safety is essential. The Freejump X’air safe children's airbag vest combines two complementary protective technologies: a rigid structure meeting level 3 cross-country body protector requirements and an integrated airbag that deploys automatically in the event of a fall when the system is correctly connected. This combination provides permanent protection through the rigid body protector, reinforced by airbag inflation when required. Designed to protect areas particularly exposed during a fall, this system supports young riders from their first experiences through to more demanding training sessions, while preserving their freedom of movement in the saddle.

• Enhanced protection: the X’air safe offers protection claimed to be up to 8 times more effective than a cross-country body protector alone and 4 times more effective than a conventional combination of a body protector and external airbag.
• Extended coverage: when activated, the airbag deploys to protect the spine, neck and pelvis, while the rigid structure protects the chest and back.
• Neck support: the air cushion helps stabilise the head and limit sudden neck movements during a fall.
• Impact absorption: the combination of different foam densities helps distribute impact forces more effectively.

An ultra-fast airbag meeting demanding safety standards

The Freejump X’air safe children's vest features technology developed to react quickly in the event of a fall and enhance protection for young riders.

• Ultra-fast deployment: the airbag deploys in just 89 milliseconds, providing additional protection within an extremely short time.
• NF S72-800:2022 standard: the airbag system complies with this French standard for equestrian protective airbags.
• EN 13158 level 3 standard: the protective structure meets level 3 requirements for equestrian body protectors, particularly those used in cross-country riding.
• Suitable cartridge: each size uses a CO2 cartridge matched to the volume required for correct inflation.

Comfort designed for children's body shapes

Because young riders need to move naturally as they learn and progress, the X’air safe children's airbag vest has been designed to combine protection, ergonomics and comfort. Its anatomical cut follows body movements and helps maintain excellent freedom of movement in the saddle.

• Ergonomic fit: a design suited to different body shapes, promoting secure support without restricting movement.
• Durable Cordura fabric: its outer shell provides excellent resistance to abrasion, tearing and UV exposure, making it suitable for regular riding activities.
• Technical foams: the combination of dense and rubber foams contributes to impact absorption while maintaining comfort.
• 3D mesh lining: its breathable structure promotes airflow and helps reduce heat build-up during riding sessions.
• YKK zip fastening: a robust, practical closure that makes the vest easy to put on and take off.
• Comfortable adjustment: its design allows the vest to be worn with different riding outfits while maintaining a suitable fit.

Versatile protection for every equestrian discipline

From riding school lessons to first competitions, the X’air safe children's vest supports young riders throughout their equestrian activities:

• Dressage: to develop their position and progress through training with enhanced protection.
• Show jumping: to approach their first courses and improve their technique while maintaining freedom of movement.
• Cross-country and eventing: to benefit from level 3 protection suited to the demands of this discipline, subject to applicable competition regulations.
• Hacking and outdoor riding: to enjoy rides on horses or ponies with additional safety equipment.

Complete equipment that is easy to use

The Freejump X’air safe children's airbag vest comes with the accessories required for use: a CO2 cartridge suited to the size, an all-in-one connection strap, a reset key, a saddle strap and an instruction manual.

The saddle strap must be correctly fitted to the saddle. Once mounted, the young rider connects the attachment strap to the airbag. In the event of a fall generating sufficient tension on the system, the mechanism triggers inflation. After activation, the system can be reset by following the manufacturer's instructions and replacing the CO2 cartridge.

The vest also benefits from a 2-year warranty, extendable for a further 2 years, subject to Freejump's warranty conditions.
