The QHP Detroit helmet features a lightweight plastic outer shell and complies with the NEN-EN 1384:2023 standard. To provide a fit suited to each rider, its size can be adjusted using the dial at the back. The height of the adjustment system can also be modified to fine-tune the helmet's position on the head and achieve the most comfortable fit possible. This system is also removable and replaceable. The adjustable chin strap completes the design to provide secure support while riding. Under the chin, a soft padded cover enhances comfort and opens with a hook-and-loop fastening, making it easy to adjust the length of the chin strap before covering the adjustment system once the desired length has been found. On the black helmet, the chin strap is covered with black synthetic leather for a coordinated finish.
The Detroit features a ventilation grille designed to encourage airflow inside the helmet. This ventilation helps make the helmet more comfortable during exercise, particularly during longer sessions or in warmer conditions. Its particularly lightweight construction also contributes to overall comfort by limiting the feeling of weight on the head.
Inside, QHP has chosen a Coolmesh liner designed to absorb moisture and dry quickly. This helps maintain a more comfortable feel while riding. Thanks to its clip system, the liner can be easily removed and refitted inside the helmet. It can be hand washed, making regular helmet care straightforward.
