Carapax adult body Protector - BR

Ride with confidence thanks to the Carapax adult body protector by BR, a piece of protective equipment designed to offer every rider optimal safety combined with unparalleled comfort. Created with BR's high standards and in accordance with the strictest European regulations, this equestrian body protector certified to level 3 is the obvious choice for those seeking the best combination of safety, flexibility, and freedom of movement—during training, competition, or leisure riding.

Innovative design for maximum protection

Where other body protectors offer rigid protection that can cause discomfort, the Carapax revolutionizes the rider's experience with its flexible, movable block structure that efficiently distributes impact energy. Each cube, designed to fit the shape of the body, acts as an individual shock absorber. This unique design allows the vest to protect the entire torso—from the clavicles down to the lower back—without restricting mobility, especially during wide movements such as cantering or jumping.

• Comprehensive protection for the rib cage and back: The integrated foam blocks offer high and low coverage, securing vital areas exposed during a fall.
• Advanced impact absorption: Certified to the highest European standard (EN 13158:2009 Level 3), the Carapax body protector guarantees the best possible energy dissipation in the event of an impact, even at high speed or on rough terrain.

Its carefully designed cut, combined with wide armholes, also ensures complete freedom of movement: the harness follows your actions without ever restricting or compressing, making every action on horseback easier—whether you're flat schooling, jumping, or riding out in nature.

The requirements of level 3 certification (ce-en 13158:2009)

The Carapax adult body protector is engineered to meet (and exceed) the needs of riders who are most concerned with their safety, based on the demands of the EN 13158:2009 European standard.

This level 3 certification is recognized by all equestrian institutions and guarantees your body optimal protection against severe impacts and point pressures you may encounter while riding. You can approach each session more confidently, with your mind free to focus on your improvement and the enjoyment of riding.

Attention to detail, such as the sturdiness of the materials used and the precision of the stitching, also provides long-term reliability, season after season.

Comfort and freedom of movement: a second skin for everyday riding

A vest as secure as it is comfortable: that is the promise kept by the Carapax adult body protector. Its modular design with mobile blocks adapts to all body shapes while naturally following the movement of your torso as you ride.

Its external nylon fabric is both lightweight and durable, allowing the vest to glide easily under your clothing with minimum interference. Adjustable Velcro straps on the shoulders and around the waist offer precise tailoring for even support without pressure points.

Thanks to the large armholes, the Carapax never restricts your arm movement, whether you're giving a rein, performing a tight turn, or steadying your hands during a show jumping course.

Versatility: a body protector for all disciplines

Whether you are a regular rider, working to improve your skills, or passionate about trail riding, the Carapax adult body protector will quickly become essential. It can be worn under a shirt or over lightweight clothing, depending on your preferences and the season. Its flexible structure is compatible with the needs of all equestrian disciplines: flatwork, jumping, cross-country, or hacking—the body protector provides reassurance at every moment, in any context.

This versatile model is unisex and available in several sizes to fit your body shape and style. The choice of classic black ensures discreetness and easy matching with your existing gear.

An added bonus: the Carapax is also available in a kids’ version, allowing you to protect every member of the family, regardless of the rider's age.

Easy care and durability

Designed to withstand the demanding conditions of riding, the Carapax adult body protector requires only minimal care: simply brush it with a stiff brush slightly dampened to restore its original appearance after each use. Air drying is sufficient to maintain the properties of the foam and fabric. This easy cleaning and the resistance of the selected materials ensure the vest’s remarkable longevity, season after season.
