Xcudo kids back protector - Equiline

Protecting young riders without compromise is the challenge met by the Xcudo back protector for children by Equiline. Designed to support enthusiasts from an early age, the Xcudo aims to provide every child with a cocoon of safety and comfort on horseback. Behind this name, all the expertise of Equiline is combined with the requirements of the latest European safety standards to offer a back protector that is both reliable and easy to wear. Providing your child with a high-performance, certified children’s back protector becomes essential for practicing their passion with peace of mind.

Targeted and reinforced protection for the spine

Horse riding teaches children confidence and respect for their mount, but should never compromise on back safety. The Xcudo Child stands out for its ability to precisely protect what matters most: the spine—a sensitive and crucial area in case of falls or sudden movements. Its multi-layer back panel efficiently absorbs impacts, reducing the force transmitted to the back even in severe or unexpected shocks.

• Level 2 back protection: CE certified to EN 1621-2, it ensures a high level of shock absorption, suitable for children, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to their growing bodies.
• Invisible integration under the jacket: Discreet and ergonomic, it can be worn under any riding outfit without hindering movement or altering style. Young riders thus enjoy optimal safety with no restriction or visual discomfort.
• Large coverage area: From the base of the neck to the lower back, the protective panel follows the line of the spine to cover the most exposed vertebrae.

Lightweight, breathable, and freedom of movement: designed for children

Wearing protection should never be a burden, especially for the youngest riders. The Xcudo focuses on ease of use and everyday comfort:

• Highly breathable micro-perforated fabric: Because children sweat quickly during effort or in the sun, the airy structure of the Xcudo wicks moisture and body heat away. This also helps prevent irritation and maintains a fresh feeling throughout the session.
• Ultra lightweight and flexible: Its featherweight build avoids any sensation of heaviness or extra load on the shoulders and back. Even after long hours at the stables or in competition, the child keeps agility and freedom of movement.
• Freedom for arms and shoulders: Wide armholes and a pronounced V-neck allow for natural movement, essential in the saddle for guiding, jumping, or adjusting position without restriction.
• Ergonomic fit: The cut hugs the silhouette, stays perfectly in place thanks to its strapless design, and adapts to children’s growth to ensure constant effectiveness throughout the seasons.

A reliable back protector for all styles of children’s riding

Whether your child is starting out on a pony, learning vaulting, exploring paddocks, or already comfortable over fences, the Xcudo Child is for all ages and skill levels. It is an essential protection for both arena and outdoor use, during pony games, dressage, or jumping competitions. Its versatility makes it suitable for all equestrian activities dedicated to juniors.

At the riding school or at home, the Xcudo back protector slips elegantly and quickly under a fleece, show jacket, or winter coat. Invisible once worn, it caters to children concerned about style as well as parents who demand safety and reliability from their equipment purchases.

A handmade quality commitment from italy: durability and premium finishes

The Equiline brand pays particular attention to the selection of materials and the workmanship of its protective gear. The Xcudo Child is made 100% in Italy, a guarantee of recognized and consistent craftsmanship. Each back protector features impeccable finishes: no uncomfortable seams against the skin, soft and durable materials, and exceptional sturdiness. The shock-absorbing padding is designed to last, providing lasting protection to meet the demanding pace of a young rider’s life.

Easy to maintain, the Xcudo supports surface cleaning with a damp cloth to ensure hygiene and freshness from one session to the next. Its technical structure retains its protective qualities even after frequent use or light washing, for always reliable safety.
