Hybrid-Air airbag vest - Helite

Push the boundaries of equestrian protection with a unique combination of safety and mobility. The Hybrid-Air Airbag Vest - Hélite takes rider safety to the next level, specifically designed to meet the demands of cross-country, show jumping and eventing. Developed through a collaboration between Hélite, the French leader in protective airbags, and Racesafe, a specialist in competition body protectors, it is an ideal choice for competitive riders seeking performance and peace of mind.

A new generation of hybrid protection

The Hybrid-Air airbag vest combines safety and freedom of movement to support riders across all equestrian disciplines. It can be worn on its own to benefit from the protection provided by its airbag system, but pairing it with the Motion 3 body protector (sold separately) is particularly recommended. This combination provides enhanced hybrid protection, bringing together the mechanical impact absorption of the body protector and the inflatable protection of the airbag. A valuable advantage for riders practising cross-country, show jumping or eventing, where the risk of falling calls for appropriate protective equipment.

This innovative design offers a versatile solution: riders can choose to wear the airbag alone or combine it with the Motion 3 body protector depending on their discipline and protection needs.

• Multi-zone protection: The inflation system specifically targets the chest, abdomen, back and neck, surrounding sensitive areas in the event of a fall.
• Enhanced hybrid protection: Combining Hélite airbag technology with the Motion 3 body protector brings together two complementary protection systems to help absorb and distribute impact forces.
• Compliance with the latest standards: Its compliance with the NF S72-800 2022 standard demonstrates that its performance has been assessed according to specific requirements for equestrian airbags.

Outstanding deployment performance

Speed, precision and anticipation: the Hybrid-Air airbag vest features an ultra-fast mechanical system capable of activating inflation in just 0.097 seconds. In the event of a fall that creates sufficient tension on the connection lanyard, the mechanism activates the airbag to help protect the rider during impact.

This rapid deployment provides additional protection in unpredictable situations encountered on cross-country courses or when approaching challenging obstacles.

Freedom of movement and ergonomic design

Designed to fit seamlessly into the routines of both professional riders and demanding amateurs, the Hybrid-Air prioritises comfort in all circumstances. It can easily be worn over your riding outfit, in summer or winter, without restricting movement — a decisive advantage in both competition and training:

• Anatomical fit: Its lightweight, tailored design, combined with wide armholes, allows excellent freedom of movement for the arms and upper body, helping riders maintain their flexibility in the saddle.
• Easy to put on: Thanks to its quick fastening system, the vest can be put on and removed easily, even when wearing gloves or preparing to enter the competition arena.
• Versatile use: The Hybrid-Air can be worn independently or combined with the Motion 3 body protector for additional protection without compromising rider comfort and mobility.

Uncompromising safety, from cross-country to dressage

Versatile by design, the Hybrid-Air vest meets the expectations of riders from different disciplines. Whether crossing water on a cross-country course, tackling a triple combination or practising flatwork, it provides protection while preserving freedom of movement. Worn alone, it offers airbag protection suited to various equestrian activities. Combined with the Motion 3 body protector, it creates a hybrid protective system particularly suited to disciplines requiring enhanced body protection.

• Enhanced protection without unnecessary weight: Its technical, breathable fabric promotes comfort during prolonged physical activity, particularly throughout training sessions and competitions.
• Practical everyday details: Hook-and-loop fastenings and a secure closure help keep the vest properly positioned during use.

Easy to use and maintain

Designed to accompany riders on competition courses and at equestrian centres, the Hybrid-Air comes ready to use with a complete kit including a CO2 cartridge, a reset key, a connection lanyard and a saddle strap. Once mounted on the horse, the rider connects the lanyard to the airbag to enable mechanical activation in the event of a fall.

Maintenance has been designed for convenient, long-lasting use: simply clean the vest with a damp sponge, without immersing it in water or using abrasive products.

Maintain your equipment's responsiveness with clear instructions and an accessible reset procedure, allowing the system to be prepared for use again after deployment in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
