P06 back protector child - Swing

Because the safety of young riders allows for no compromise, the SWING P06 Child Back Protector is designed to offer effective protection while respecting the body shape and comfort of children passionate about horse riding. Thanks to state-of-the-art engineering and SWING’s expertise, every riding session becomes a more peaceful experience for both children and their parents.

Enhanced protection and total peace of mind for future riders

Much more than just protection, the P06 Child Back Protector serves as an essential ally to support the learning and progress of the youngest equestrians. This back protector includes a segmented protective plate along the entire length of the spine, from the top of the neck down to the coccyx—the most vulnerable areas in case of a fall.

• Optimized shock absorption: The multi-density inner structure and reinforced lumbar padding ensure maximum dissipation of energy on impact, reducing the risk of serious injury.
• Wrap-around protection: Thanks to its encompassing design, the back protector shields not only the spine but also adjacent back areas frequently exposed during horse riding.
• Lightweight and flexible with no compromise: The combination of ergonomic plates and high-performance foam guarantees the protection perfectly follows the rider’s natural movements, without interfering with position or technical gestures.
• Additionally, safety-conscious parents can find a wide range of children's equestrian back protectors perfectly suited to riding, to offer optimal protection for their young riders.

High-tech materials and optimal breathability

Designed for everyday life at the stable or competition, the P06 Child Back Protector features an innovative composition combining safety and long-lasting comfort. The high-tech materials used create an airy mesh, specifically developed for children's riding needs. This breathable mesh allows optimal air circulation, rapidly wicks away moisture, and helps prevent discomfort during physical activity.

The wide front zip closure makes it easy to put on—even over a sweater or shirt—and ensures secure, close-to-the-body support throughout the session, with no pressure points or irritation zones.

Certification and compliance with standard en 1621-2:2014 level 2

The P06 Child Back Protector strictly meets the requirements of European Standard EN 1621-2:2014 Level 2, the benchmark in back protection for horse riding and motorsports. This involves rigorous testing for shock absorption capacity, resistance to twisting, and coverage of sensitive back areas.

This compliance guarantees riders and their families the reliability and performance of a back protector built to face any situation—whether during training or competition, indoors or out.

Freedom of movement and perfect fit

Because a back protector only offers optimal safety if worn at every session, SWING has focused on an ergonomic, lightweight, and comfortable design. The articulated protective panels bend naturally with torso movements, from sitting trot to jumping, promoting a natural, free posture. The unisex fit and sizes suitable for growing children allow a precise fit for all child body types, ensuring a close fit without restricting breathing or riding freedom.

Conveniently, the P06 Child Back Protector can be worn either under a sweatshirt or lightweight jacket, or as the outermost layer over thin clothes, depending on the weather and riding habits. This versatility offers multiple options while maintaining a sleek, discreet look compatible with all disciplines.

Who is the swing p06 child back protector for?

Designed for young riders from their first pony experiences up to teenage years, the P06 Child Back Protector is the wise choice for all parents and coaches concerned about stable safety. It perfectly meets the needs of beginners, children riding at clubs, or independent young riders exploring jumping, dressage, or leisure riding outdoors. Its robust design will especially appeal to those practicing higher-risk disciplines such as pony-games, cross-country, or liberty work—situations where falls can happen unexpectedly.

Easy care and everyday use

Since children's gear is put to the test, the P06 Child Back Protector offers simple care: just brush it with a slightly damp stiff-bristled brush to remove dirt and dust, then let it air dry for perfect hygiene between sessions. This robustness helps prolong its lifespan, even with intensive use.

Lightweight to carry, discreet under clothing, and easy to put on, it naturally fits into the young rider’s routine, so that safety becomes a habit, never a constraint. To further complement riding safety, a complete selection dedicated to equestrian back protection is available and will meet all needs, from dressage to cross-country and daily training.
