Safety stirrups - Wintec

The safety and well-being of young riders are at the heart of every concern. The Wintec safety stirrups have become the go-to reference for offering beginner or progressing riders reliable protection and unmatched stability, right from their very first steps in the saddle. Designed to support youth as they learn to ride, these safety stirrups combine durability, ergonomics, and advanced technology to ensure confidence and progress with complete peace of mind.

Total safety, immediate confidence: a design dedicated to protection

More than just a piece of equipment, Wintec safety stirrups are engineered to eliminate major risks associated with horse riding—most notably, the danger of getting stuck in the stirrup in the event of a fall. Their unique design features:

• Full Protective Shell: The ultra-resistant wraparound shell guards the front of the foot and prevents the rider’s foot from sliding too far into the stirrup or getting trapped during sudden movements or unexpected imbalance. This safety feature is essential for young or learning riders, greatly reducing the risk of injury and providing reassurance for children and their parents alike.
• Wide Non-Slip Base: Featuring a generous 10 cm (4-inch) wide ridged rubber base, the footbed ensures secure and comfortable contact under the boot. Its non-slip surface maximizes grip, even in wet conditions, preventing accidental slipping of the foot and helping maintain a stable, focused seat at all times.

Ergonomics and stability: the key asset for first steps on horseback

Specifically adapted to the morphology and needs of young riders, Wintec stirrups facilitate effective and progressive learning:

• Optimal Leg Positioning: The thoughtfully designed tilt of the base helps the rider easily find the correct toe position, encouraging heels down and proper knee-ankle alignment—essential for developing good habits from the start.
• Stability and Confidence: Thanks to their raised platform, these stirrups reduce muscle fatigue linked to tension and the constant search for balance, making riding calmer and more enjoyable for both arena work and outdoor hacks.

Every session thus becomes an opportunity for children to progress under the banner of safety and confidence, minimizing the stress associated with falls or loss of stability.

Durability and lightness for intensive use

Wintec Safety Stirrups are crafted from a technical composite material: both ultra-lightweight and highly durable, ensuring unfailing strength while keeping weight down. This material choice makes fitting the stirrups to the saddle easier, reduces inertia under the young rider’s foot, and minimizes interference during movement—an essential advantage for developing autonomy and ease in the saddle.

• Exceptional Robustness: The protective shell, molded in one piece, is perfectly resistant to twists, pressure, and intensive use. It withstands drops, impacts, and frequent handling without deforming or deteriorating.
• Easy Maintenance: The smooth composite surface is easily cleaned with clear water. No special maintenance is required, guaranteeing impeccable hygiene between uses—a real time-saver for clubs and families.
