Thanks to its mechanical cable activation system, the airbag inflates in less than 80 milliseconds (0.08 seconds) when triggered. It helps limit excessive hyperflexion and hyperextension movements while providing targeted protection for the back, chest and hips.

The system can be reused after deployment by replacing the appropriate CO₂ cartridge. The connecting strap must be attached to the airbag once mounted on the horse, allowing activation if the rider becomes separated from the horse.
