The Hit-Air LIGHT 2 airbag vest has been designed to optimize the lightness/protection ratio. Lighter than the COMPLET II, it is also more discreet thanks to its slim fit, particularly appreciated by show jumpers. However, it offers a very complete protection, from the neck to the coccyx, including the spine and the abdomen. The airbag divides by 2 the shock at the level of the back and by 3 at the level of the cervicals.
The H2 airbag vest is the latest development in the Léger range. All sizes, from XS to L, require a minimum tensile force of 25kg to operate properly. Ideal for all equestrian disciplines, the Hit-Air H2 airbag vest offers comprehensive protection for the spine, from the cervical spine to the sacrum and coccyx. It also protects the thorax and abdomen.
The new H2 airbag vest features shock-absorbing front and rear cushions reinforced with high-density foam for enhanced impact protection. The housing has been optimized to improve gas diffusion speed through the membrane. The optimum pressure level is thus reached in 1⁄4 of a second; it allows impact energy absorption 9 to 10 times greater than normative requirements.
It is sold ready-to-use with an all-in-one cartridge and strap.
The little ++ : The LIGHT airbag vest offers greater protection for the cervical spine, thanks to its highly protective cervical collar. It is possible to add a removable back protection to protect the back in case of shocks.
COMPLIANCE
The LIGHT Hit-Air airbag vest complies with the regulations relating to personal protective equipment (PPE) subject to the French Sports Code. As such, this airbag vest has a CE mark issued by the ALIENOR CERTIFICATION laboratory, in accordance with European regulation 89/686/EEC. Airbag certified NF S72-800-2021.
COMPATIBLE CLOTHING
This airbag vest can only be worn over clothing: a summer t-shirt, a sweatshirt, a winter down jacket... It can be adjusted according to the season and the thickness of your layers. We do not recommend wearing several layers of clothing under your airbag vest. You can adjust it with our Hit-air extension loop set, gaining up to 15 cm of comfort !
CUSTOMIZATION
Currently, we offer this vest in black and navy blue. It is also available in royal blue, white and red only on order with a delay of one month. Please contact us directly for these colors!
ACCESSORIES
The vest is delivered with a CO2 gas cartridge, a cocking key, its connecting strap and its saddle cord. The gas cartridges must be used with care and stored at a temperature below 40°. It is imperative to buy only Hit-Air approved cartridges and to change them after each firing!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The CO2 cartridge must be screwed firmly and completely into the case. Once in place, do not attempt to unscrew or remove it.
The two ends of the saddle cord must be attached to the knives of your saddle, before your stirrup leathers. Next, the connecting strap should be attached to the saddle strap via its carabiner. Finally, the ball connector assembly must be attached to the connection strap. It is the ball that unhooks in the event of a fall that will trigger the inflation of the vest by opening the cartridge.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Brush the vest with a slightly dampened stiff bristle brush, then air dry on a hanger.

2 year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers the internal membrane and the case, under normal use, but not the textile.

If your airbag is not the right size or does not fit, you have 15 days in which to return it to us. The cost of returning the airbag is borne by the customer, while the cost of exchanging airbags is borne by Vestride.
Only Spark, Hit-Air, Equiline's Oxair and children's models, Helite's Airjacket and Freejump's X'Air Safe airbags can be worn over clothing. Airbag jackets can be worn over thin clothing (teeshirts, sweaters) or combined with compatible clothing.
To find out which cartridge matches your airbag model and size, refer to the cross-reference table in the detailed description of each cartridge and airbag. This information is also given directly on your airbag or in the instructions for use.
We recommend storing it on a hanger away from moisture. Storing it on a hanger helps protect the membrane by limiting the risk of folding or cracking. Avoid storing it in a ball in your rack, or exposing it to high temperatures (radiators, cars in direct sunlight, etc.).
The saddle strap is fastened to either side of the saddle through the two stirrup leathers. This way, there's a perfect balance of release in the event of a fall, whether to the left or right of the horse. The buckle attaches to the connecting strap, which in turn connects to the airbag.
After deployment, your vest's membrane is inflated and the cartridge is emptied of its CO2. To reset, unscrew the old cartridge, expel all the air from the membrane, connect the trigger ball using the key supplied, then screw in a new cartridge. The exact re-priming procedure differs depending on the airbag model. It is important to follow the instructions given in the user manual supplied with the vest. If necessary, you can always contact us.
Your airbag must be adapted to your body type and size. We advise you to keep a fist's width between your chest and the airbag, to provide the space needed for optimum inflation. When you're riding, it shouldn't get in the way, rising up towards your ears, or even touching the saddle cantle.
The main difference lies in how they are worn: the vest-style airbag is worn like a jacket, close to the body, and requires compatible clothing on top. The classic airbag is worn over any clothing, serving as the outermost layer.
